Welcome to the 2017 Mercer Island Triathlon Team!

MI Athletic Club is the brick and mortar home to the Mercer Island Triathlon Team. Cross training, indoor cycling, functional strength and mobility classes can all be found at MIAC. State of the art treadmills, step mills, free weights and TRX are available. Additionally, massage therapy, physical therapy and bike fit services can all be scheduled at MIAC.

It is a blessing to live in such a beautiful part of the country, but it is also a challenge when it comes to training outdoors. As such, we have  a seasonal approach to our team. This will help to fine-tune and sharpen your attention while we are training, minimize burn-out risk, and allow for a defined off-season. Really a win-win!

Schedules and Events

Our training season launches the week of February 27th through the end of July.

2017 Season Kick-Off event! Join us Saturday, March 4th after our first bike/run workout.  We will gather at MIAC for treats, Q&A, and sample kit try-ons for our 2017 apparel.

Enrichment seminar topics will include mental strategies and tools to help you conquer any obstacle, becoming functionally fit and strong to support your multi-sport training and nutrition/hydration strategies to take your training and racing to the next level.

Got a another event you’d like to do? Of course all team members are encouraged to sign up for and target any and all races that are appealing to them. We will support every athlete in their quest for the finish line!

Team Membership Options and Fees

Our 2017 season will again offer a two-tiered approach to Team membership.

This option is a great fit for seasoned athletes that might not need, or want, individualized coaching or training plan development. Fee: $475 / Season (one time up front payment).

This membership affords each athlete the following:

NEW IN 2017! All Basic Team athletes will receive a training plan designed for their goal event and Workoutlog.com account from which to log and track their training.
Access to all of our weekly coached workouts
 All enrichment seminars
 Race day support
Unsurpassed team camaraderie
 Mercer Island Triathlon Team kit (racing tri shorts and top, a $110 value)

FULL COACHING MEMBERSHIP (Basic Team Membership + Individualized Training Plan creation) **LIMIT 10 COACHED ATHLETES PER SEASON
This membership is designed for those with a big goal race (full Ironman, PR), new triathletes that are looking for a hands on coaching experience, seasoned triathletes that have specific performance goals that require training plan modifications and incremental performance testing throughout the season. Fee: $850 / Season (one time up front payment).

Receive all of the benefits of the Basic Membership along with:
One-on-one communication with Head Coach Ginny regarding season goals, race prioritization, and optimal training availability.
One-on-one session with Coach Ginny
Individualized training plan creation
A customized training plan based on your experience level, fitness level entering the season, season goals, and personal work/family/life schedule.
Athlete account with access to a customized training plan on Workoutlog.com
Coach/athlete communication throughout the season with each training session logged.
Ongoing, unlimited communication with Coach Ginny to refine one’s training plan as the season progresses.

*Note: Team membership fees do not included membership at MIAC.  Membership at MIAC is not a required for Team membership.
